This giant map of the UK was commissioned by ITV Digital.
It was designed to show the location of all their transmitters
across the UK
The outline was scaled up onto plywood and covered in Polystyrene.
This was then carved to the lowlands and highlands and covered
in fibreglass and painted.
It was split into sections for transportation.
It had flying fixes on the back to allow it to be hung on
a large wall.
The transmitter masts were cast in a lightweight resin with
a dowel in the bottom to locate into holes in the map.
